Liptov, with a number of rivers, streams and hot mineral springs, offers many possibilities for swimming and water sports.
Liptovská Mara water reservoir is one of the most visited, as well as Thermal park Bešeňová together with Tatralandia (15 km) the largest thermal aquapark in Slovakia.
Liptovsky Jan itself has many opportunities for swimming in mineral water.

Liptovsky Jan offers excellent connditions for hiking, mountain climbing and mountain biking.
Tourists can choose from a wide range of hiking trails of varying difficulty. The trails start in villages, municipalities or tourist centres and are colour-marked, depending on their difficulty.
